What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is the science of treating, preventing, and rehabilitating people who are physically challenged and disabled. For those planning to study this medical procedure, they can start with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) program. 

BPT is a professional four-year course of physical education courses that teach physical disability and mobility. Physiotherapy is an integrated health activity that helps people maintain, increase, or restore their physical strength, function, and mobility.

Anyone wishing to continue can pursue a Masters in Physiotherapy (MPT), a postgraduate course that prepares students to develop outstanding skills in clinical settings. 

This program helps build students' self-confidence so that they can work in a challenging environment and work independently as mentors, experts, administrators, teachers, and investigators in a wide variety of professional settings.

 In addition to this, there is a diploma in existing physiotherapy courses also known as DPT.


How to Qualify

  1. The Diploma in Physiotherapy [DPT]and Bachelor of Physiotherapy [BPT] can be done after completing the 12th class in the Science stream from a recognized board of education. 
  2. The nominees were to pursue a course in Science with Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as their core subjects. 
  3. Small points of 50 percent or equal at 10 + 2 level are mandatory to be accepted. Some universities in India are conducting an admission test for BPT. 
  4. Some of these admission tests are JIPMER, CET all India admission test,.hundred. In addition, they are required to complete a one-year circuit work.
  5.  Students must obtain a full BPT degree, on campus from an institution recognized by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists.


Skills required in the lesson

The Physiotherapy course requires baptismal candidates to have a thorough clinical experience and a basic goal of all treatment options for patients. 

Specialists need to be extremely patient with their patients and have a high understanding of their illness and suffering. 

They should restore confidence in their patients and explain all the steps of their treatment before performing it on them.
